N-Butane, 110 lb cylinder

  • Odourless liquefied gas with no added odourants, free from oil and contaminants. Guaranteed purity 99.9998% n-butane, 0.0002% isobutane.
  • Cylinder fitted with a dip tube for liquid withdrawal. CGA 555 / CGA 510 valve, with adapters for 1/4" NPT and 1/4" flare.
  • Net butane weight 110 lb, total shipping weight about 185 lb.
  • Use only in a well-ventilated area.

Made in the USA. Lab-grade n-butane, triple refined by fractional distillation and filtered 11 times for maximum purity, then filled into sterilized DOT-rated cylinders.

Why lab grade n-butane

High purity n-butane gives a cleaner, more consistent extraction. At 99.9998% n-butane with no added odourants or oils, there is nothing in the solvent to carry over into your product. N-butane boils at −0.5 °C (31 °F), so it purges easily at low temperatures in a closed-loop system.

Tank exchange and deposit

Have an empty tank? Exchange it and pay no deposit. Need a tank? Add the refundable $250 cylinder deposit - it comes back to you when the cylinder is returned.

  • Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley: we deliver it ourselves.

Is this butane odourless?
Yes. No mercaptan or any other odourant is added.

What fitting does the cylinder have?
A CGA 555 / CGA 510 valve, with adapters for 1/4" NPT and 1/4" flare.

Can I draw liquid butane from it?
Yes. The cylinder has a dip tube for liquid withdrawal.

How heavy is it to ship?
110 lb of n-butane, about 185 lb with the cylinder.
